Veterinarian
Dr. Luana Torres and her family live in Marysville. She is a Veterinarian 🐾 during the day and a Cub Scout Leader in the evenings and weekends.
She is happily married, has two red-headed sons 🧑🦰 and two dogs (a chihuahua and a terrier mix)🐕. In her free time, she enjoys camping with the Scouts and her family, ⛺ hiking, traveling, quilting, and all things related to Disney 🐭 and Harry Potter. 🪄
She graduated from Veterinary School in 2009, followed by a Small Animal Intership, and in 2011, she was accepted into Michigan State University’s College of Veterinary Medicine as an Oncology Fellow.
She then attended Mississippi State University (2013-2014), where she focused on cancer research. She transitioned back to the clinical setting and moved back to Michigan in 2014, where she chose to live and raise a family.
She is passionate about learning, improving her technical skills, and creating a Fear-Free environment for her patients. Her favorite subjects are surgery, dentistry, and treating allergies, as well as keeping pets healthy and comfortable from puppyhood through the senior years.
She speaks English and Portuguese fluently and knows basic Spanish. Clients travel far to consult with her, and word-of-mouth recommendations are the best compliments she can get. She is also USDA-certified and can issue International Health Certificates for pet travel.
